No Cares To Hold

The sepia tones seep past
blurred, sleep filled eyes
blocking momentarily any
signs of what might be,
a gentle lace of fine joy
leaks through my window and
I rise so lightly through my fog
as comes the dawn of my recognition,
there was no warning,
I felt no urgency,
life in the slow,
this is our day,
we take the whole,
this is Monday,
no cares to hold,
they have flown away.
