“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.” Joseph Campbell

The Moment Has Not Arrived

Have you thought about the pivot,
that moment you told yourself that
the future would recommence at a
convenient self-determined time
suitable to moi, yet somehow,
involving the globe in a massive
transaction of giving to just your
simple agenda of returning to
something familiar. The moment
has not arrived, and here we are,
waiting, poised, exhausted, not
knowing, and yet we are alive
even as we pivot, hoping, waiting,
for how it was.
