Dylan, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Sex Pistols, and dozens more but the Beatles too …

“You say you want a revolution ….” Lennon, McCartney.

I'll Have Two

We threw a cocktail party
at the barricades last night,
Molotov was served
without olives and
there was a riot with
flags cast down,
ideals thrown more
quickly than any thoughts
that might be given to them,
and even though it wasn't
very pretty, in spite of all
that waste and blood,
we gave our lives so that
none would choke on the
air thick and cloying with lies,
and for the pleasure of
wiping the smugness off
the faceless puppeteers,
for just one moment.
