Not The Done Thing

It’s just not cricket,
it simply isn’t the done thing,
to want more when more is more than we need,
while the earth cries out for rest,
and people are crying for basic needs.

Note: “It’s just not cricket” refers to the sport or game of cricket where fair-play is paramount. To say that something is not cricket means that something is not fair, that justice is absent, that something is wrong, something is unacceptable.
