Jack

Jack was a handful
at eighty,
goes sideways a lot
his feet don’t lift the same,
Rosie called appointment time
but old Jack’s mind
played a fifties reel,
he always pushed it late,
Rosie knew that like concrete
Jack was set in his ways.
