Caress of Colour
We had the wine and talked the hours,
drank each other deep.
As the dark veil of time slipped away
we set the place alight.
We crossed with ease the Rubicon
as we unlocked each other,
translating eyes and coded sighs,
those portals of the soul.
I held your words then set them free,
and there I saw you true.
No dun, no dull, no alabaster,
your love, the caress of colour.
