Folded Resistance

The folded resistance of your arms
speaks a volume loud enough for
my eyes to hear,
a clear signal of
your fullness,
there is no room for
my confection of words that
in yesterday’s moods
were understood,
floating so lightly
now leaden,
grasping,
sinking.
