What Do You See?

Escher’s Child

Escher’s child
was all complete
white picket fence
and garden so,
no time for disorder
or disjunction of sense,
the stairs went up
and not about
six hundred and forty-two
and a plant atop,
fathers view was slant,
of course,
but Gladys knew
it went right up.
