And how! Just finished a depressing book By Anne Nelson ‘The Shadow Network’ and how Christian fundamentalism is linked in the NRA, John Birch Society, formerly the confederacy, the Klan, right wing extremists, big business with a view to controlling the nation.

Yes, I’m averse to conspiracy theories, but Nelson doesn’t present it as such, she shows how they have networked by like-mindedness. The Koch brothers apparently would not have appealed to the SBC but the mutual dislike of left leaning Democrats brought an unlikely alliance. Symbiotic resonates here.
