Here With You

Ah -
Calypso
simply throw away the key
and hold me prisoner
here with you,
closer,
closer still,
so I can feel your beat and
taste your beguile,
then let us spend ourselves
in that eternal rhythm of
endings and beginnings,
ecstasy's language,
beyond words,
the gorge of our passion
pouring out.

  2. I particularly like this section of the poem:

so I can feel your beat and
    taste your beguile,
    then let us spend ourselves
    in that eternal rhythm of
    endings and beginnings,

This is gorgeously encapsulated, Paul! I especially admire this part; “Then let us spend ourselves in that eternal rhythm of
endings and beginnings,”… sigh… what more could one possibly want? Thank you so much for writing to the prompt ❤️❤️
