At dVerse De is hosting the Quadrille with an invitation to write a poem using some form of the word star.
dVerse Poets – Quadrille – A Star

“No sight is more provocative of awe than is the night sky.” Llewelyn Powys
O Little Stars How I thirsted to get past moon to those other mysteries shining in deep space, and learn, breathe, everything about them - their gas fields, orbit, dimensions, were they planets or stars? But now and then I love to just sit and watch them twinkle. Copyright 2023 ©Paul Vincent Cannon All Rights Reserved ®️
I really like those first two lines as a description of the search for knowledge/truth.

Yes, that search is always in need of some letting go and some mystery too, rather than just facts. many thanks for sharing.

Ah, yes. The simple contentment of their beauty, versus their conquering, or understanding. I live in that space, too. Love this.

You’re right.
It is always more than just a star or a planet. I’ve tossed the name Capella around for years, not knowing until I googled it (Wiki) today. OMG.
Wonderful poem, PVC. 🙂

I’ve always been happy to be of the “sit and watch them twinkle” persuasion.

I like to sit and watch them twinkle, too. I remember wishing on the first star I saw at night when I was a kid.
