“Forbidden fruit always tastes the best.” Swedish Proverb
So Ripe The pendulous fruit that hang from your tree are so ripe they must be handled carefully lest they bruise and weep, supple and tender to touch, being held softly and gently caressed to a point of readiness for consuming, an anticipation of their sweetness, their swelling so sugared to my lips, a taste to be savoured long, the sticky pectin point draws down slowly, viscous, memorable, this tree is life its fruit the seed of love, the life of generations. Lyn was sick so xmas was held a week later, not so busy this year and more really about family for us than parties or rituals other than gathering.
