“Every spell is a journey.” Lawren Leo

How Can I Spell You?

Samhain's thinness is an invitation
to rend the tissue between worlds,
she came at noon to smudge my door
and wait the moon to pass,
that hour came and our worlds collided,
by dawn I was spent,
her spell ended,
and she had gone.

This is exquisitely woven, Paul! 😀 I too love the image; “she came at noon to smudge my door and wait the moon to pass.” Thank you so much for writing to the prompt ❤️❤️

  3. Spell. I must confess I remembered an old Country Joe McDonald (and the Fish) song. (What’s that spell? What’s that spell?)

  5. Made me think of the Celtic Pagans’ Samhain who does just that on the doors on Día de los muertos. Oh how lovely she came to you in the summer. I bet her intentions were different seeing as you were all spent by dawn. Love this so much. Thanks for sharing. XoXo May she visit you again. Xoxo
