“Red tape will often get in your way. It’s one of the reasons I carry scissors.” Richard Branson
The Bureaucratic Wet Dream Be careful, have you checked, where's your detailed plan, are you sure you know what you're doing, have you been given approval, show me the triplicates, show me your qualifications, are you trained for this, is it safe, should it be only indoors, you can get training for this but you'll need prerequisites, and insurance, what's your policy number, you must have a first aid certificate, and you'll have to provide us with some references and referees, don't sigh like that, it's the way we do things now, we're protecting you, for a fee, for a cut, for all your time, then we'll take your will to live and choke your aspiration, and if we don't validate you, you'll be shovelling shit for years, so, play along, smile as if you really mean it, we do, it's a beautiful game, so long as you follow the hollow rules that help the trains to run on time. So true, and i think this will never end. What should we do with all the storage capabilities called offices? 😉 Thanks for sharing, Paul! Enjoy a beautiful week! xx Michael

Become unnecessary, like playground monitors for adults 👌👏👏👏

Yes, so sad that we have subsumed our intelligence for such a way of living.

They’ll need more offices to police all the activities, what a horrible thought, but possible, you too Michael, we all need good weeks don’t we?

And thus ended my higher education career. (In the days leading up to my resignation, a new provost introduced herself by walking up to the lecturn and blowing bubbles.)

I’m blowing bubbles too, saliva bubbles from choking (not laughing) we have entered the time of the puerile and vacuous and their veneer world.

I was appalled. It wasn’t long before those soap bubbles became emblematic of just how delusional these people were.

Yes, the children believe in themselves. Millennials can be the worst – “I can do that” instead of “I know how to do that”

Don’t forget the grade entitlement. You must give me an A or I will “report” you.

Yes, and you’ll lose your registration. Our post secondary adult education system called TAFE for technical and further education – the trainers now have to guarantee a pass for students – waa waa.
