“Life shrinks and expands in proportion to one’s courage.”
My True North Star I let go the backpack, even though it contained so many essential items for such a long walk, I only took the water, not the tent or clothing, not even the compass or map, nothing I would normally take, need, or rely on, these I left knowing that you are my true north star, my guide on this trail of life. It’s a thought provoking poem. I would take the backpack, from a lifetime’s experience, but it does put true love in a pithy form.

O trust – I would too, the metaphor wouldn’t leave me alone though – thank you for sharing this.

Whether it’s a trusted loved one or God, sometimes there is nothing else to do. Faith *can* carry one through. Beautiful poem, Paul
