dVerse Poets – Quadrille – Muse Cues

“…. poetry is an autonomous muse ….” Alice Walker

To Be Mused

Have you ever been mused
by an inviting path or the
one who catches your eye,
a delicious word in a bowl of soup,
what of rain dances or cloud smiles,
sun skips and creek beds,
a series of fortunate dalliances
stir my seeking heart.

  2. I love that Alice Walker quote. I’ve regretted a lot of dalliances but I wouldn’t change a thing.

  6. I saw your comment (on Jill’s blog) about 117F temperature. So I clicked on your name to find out where that was.

That picture looked familiar. That could only be Australia. And then the caption said “Mundaring”. That’s why it seemed familiar.

I grew up in Perth (well, South Perth), though I have been in the USA for a long time. I may have even walked around in that forrest.

    Thanks for the memories.

    • We’ve had some of our normal hotter than hell west coast heat (the weather phenomenon known as El Nino – la Nina has flipped to La Nina and a hot summer) – wow, to think that you chanced upon a comment. I know South Perth well, though I’ve never lived there, I have lived in urban and rural W.A. currently living in Bunbury and soon to move to the south coast. You will have walked in many places and left a part of you in the earth’s record. Thanks for the connect Neil.
