“Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old.” Franz Kafka

A Story In Lines

Her bisque skin,
carrying the scars of winter's
past, coursing torrents now
etched like a dry river bed,
all delicate parchment,
testimony to lived skin,
as expiation for love's need,
life poured out, a libation of
for others sketched across
her open face, a story in lines,
never spoken, but always told
in humble presence.
