“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” Virginia Woolf
Waiting Sweet, sticky juice, the way your fingers caressed the glass, your lips upon that long, slender straw, while your eyes offered private conversation as the world passed by in blurred abstractions, your smile takes me prisoner once again and I await the consummate dessert. Consome!
When I was very young, I wrote a short story, since lost, about a mythical city (a lot like Paris, but not) in which any form of foreplay and even sex at adult banquets was openly accepted, but one could get arrested for so much as taking one bite or sip of food without complete sequestration.
Hmmm. Maybe I should rewrite it, just for fun, someday.
