Shaped By The Sea – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

Shaped By The Sea

Naked you are upon this open shore,
exposed as honest cracks and crags,
a weary bulwark against the mighty sea,

∽ even so, what rugged beauty emanates ∼

from this garden shaped by the sea,
sparse and roughly tendered delight,
perfectly textured for all to see.

  8. Wonderful puente, Paul. I’ve been working on one for a long time and just can’t find the right bridge. You’ve inspired me to try again.

  9. Beautifully done, Paul. Your vivid description shines through. ‘perfectly textured for all to see.’ Love that line. Too often people turn away at texture…but it is texture that tells stories beyond our imagination.
