VJs Weekly Challenge – How It All Started

“What you seek is seeking you.” Rumi
So Sly Who conspired, the water or the stars, not withstanding wise camels or knucklebones cast, even lusted lustre could be closer to my beaded sweated hankering after your voluptuary offered, so sly with a wink of your hips just visible in your eyes is how it all started so breathless, unravelling in our unfathomed, restless entwining. ยฉPaul Vincent Cannon
Wicked with a touch of tomfoolery –
“not withstanding wise camels”?

Well, how many wise men were/are there really, I trust the camels. Thank you so much VJ.

Lol. If I apply that to here – there are no camels – so guess that makes sense too.

Yes, it was a delightful find. I always write then I go off and find the pic and quote, except for ekphrastic poems of course. Lol, it sometimes takes longer to search for those than the actual writing.

that’s very cool.. sometimes I find the pic delivers the words. Yet still, I had no idea what you were talking about and had to look up what ekprastic poems meant. Shows you I have no training.. lol .. well hell, now I feel completely inadequate.. ha ha ! But google did wonders here.. ๐น๐คฃ

We all arrive by that route I think, I don’t think you can train for poetry in the sense of being open to what comes ๐ We are wonderfully who we are and that’s the best thing ๐ Google is wonderful ๐

I love this line: “so sly with a wink of your hips.”

Itโs a line that has sat in the recesses of my mind for a while and it just seemed to fit in this so well. I wanted it to be just that little bit flirty or saucy. Thank you for sharing Liz.

You’re welcome, Paul. When a line like that is in the recesses of your mind, you have to find a way to use it.

Great eyes.
Or did you mean “Sly and the family Stone”?

No, but now you mention them, what an era that was.

Indeed. I saw “Woodstock” in a small cinema in the Latin Quarter, in the dead of winter of 1970. Hadn’t heard of the thing. Came out in the dark winter night with my eyes bright…

Yes, that moment in history, just not enough of a movement to effect real change.

True. The focus of that era was “Freedom”. Which brings its limitation in itself. You can’t impose “Freedom” on others. Therefore, after a while of effective growth of freedom (in my mind) totalitarian tendencies are getting their ground back… sigh.

Yes, agreed, it is a difficult time.

Yes, I do like the attempt by FB to limit age, not sure in a world of avatars who Iโm talking to sometimes. Thank you Cheryl, much appreciated.
