Kim at dVerse has invited us to write a quadrille (44 words) including the word eavesdropping. dVerse Poets – Quadrille – What’s That Rustling In The Eaves?

“Ecstasy is the accurate term for the intensity of consciousness that occurs in the creative act.” Rollo May
At The Edge Eve was gently dropping words into the soft air across the water, soothing ripples, captivating lillies, when I took her hand she smiled her eyes and shivered her skin in ripples of whisper that my heart was eavesdropping at the edge of her ecstasy. ©Paul Vincent Cannon
Wow, amazing.. May I share this on a poetry site, full credit given?

I agree with the comments above. This is an amazing poem indeed. The way the words were woven into it is simply skillful, and the pictures they invoke in my mind are simply beautiful. Not to mention the ecstatic feelings it stirs in me…

A stunning quadrille, Paul! I love the phrase ‘’shivered her skin in ripples of whisper’ and the heart ‘eavesdropping at the edge of her ecstasy’. Wow!

I love the phrase “smiled her eyes,” especially when followed by “shivered her skin.”

I love these last two lines, just brilliant (and shivery):
eavesdropping at the
edge of her ecstasy
I had to smile at where my mind went when I read the prompt. What’s that rustling in the eaves? Squirrels chewing the wiring. Get out the traps.

Here it would be possums, and they have indeed chewed the wires. But they are so cute. Thank you for sharing how the poem had just that affect Liz, much appreciated.
