Lightly Being – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

“We are each other’s harvest; we are each other’s business; we are each other’s magnitude and bond.” Gwendolyn Brooks

Lightly Being

For time to pass slowly,
journeying in moments of silence,
willingly standing alongside the troubled,
caring for the forgotten outsider,
to walk as a friend with cosmos
in the arc of suns and moons,
we must sit, walk and stand lightly,
so stronger together.

  3. “Stand lightly” to be stronger together. I never thought of it that way, but, yet, it fits.

    • In my heart of hearts it is the better road as I see it, revolution is sometimes a circuit breaker, but the result is less than what was hoped for, so this is more hopeful for me, Thank you Chris.
