Photo: forbes.com A seventy-five year old man was shoved to the ground, causing serious injury, the two officers have been stood down pending investigation. This must end.
The video of a cop smiling as he and his coworker flipped the white power sign to a black man and then smiling at each other Is white power for sure. It is disgusting and heartbreaking.
One that struck me in the images today was the fear on the faces of some of the officers – is it lack of guidance? Are they confused? Certainly when that man was pushed and fell they seemed to forget their humanity.
Nor must we must not forget that it is the usual form of police training to render someone incapacitated. The alternative procedure is to kneel on the chest or press the fingers on the eyeballs. ;-(

I know! It was very obvious to me when we lived in England for three years. Colonization just destroyed so many cultures and people.

O absolutely, the racism of colonialism is still entrenched.

Well done. They followed the words of the reality TV star to be as rough as they needed. But they left their humanity behind.
