Sarah at dVerse has invited us to write a poem about rain.
"Death most resembles a prophet who is without honour or a poet who is a stranger among his people." Khalil Gibran Glimpses That lover of self, a lifeless reality where no flowers bloom, pissed on the holy, the book of justice his anger, the book of love his leer, a ruin of integrity disembled for all as naked futility, distorted fantasy of the Jordan, claims of Eden, but only darkness speaks his voice lit with glimpses of innocent light in the distance of love, O that justice would rain down. ©Paul Vincent Cannon
Hmmmm, anyone we know?

Bravo, Paul. Except for his oath of office, that probably was the only time his hand has touched that book.
How absurd, that a man who claims to be making a walk for peace would do so as people are clubbed to make a path for him.
Come election time, people will not forget that he thumbed his nose at their principles.

Yes, I note that some of his supporters have declared for Biden, firemen’s union in particular, but also individual influencers. Fingers crossed that you are right.

I sure hope you’re right. The only way to end this scourge on our country is to vote him out of office.

I sometimes have darker responses, but, yes, true justice is the vote.

If FB acts as a mirror, I see too many blind to his faults, and even the photo OP becomes something else.

It is good when justice rains down. Hopefully also with mercy.

Yes, with mercy. I think if it is sans mercy it can’t really be justice. My personal view is that restorative justice is true justice. Thank you for sharing that Frank.

Took longer to find the picture than write the poem. Thank you Lyn.

Justice seems not to be able to wash away all the evil that is around us rearing its ugly head over and over again.

Yes, bit of a tidal wave, but I see glimmers of light.

Well, rain washes lots of things out into the open. We have a lying leadership that is failing to care for our nation, too – but not quite as spectatcularly as yours, yet. Strong words, hard to argue with you here.

Yes, over in the US all seems to be quite dysfunctional in the justice and policing, here in Australia it is benign so far but the Feds are militating anti-protest laws so it will become ugly.

Yes, we need justice. When we can do it by ourself, we should do.
