It Starts

It starts with
a series of moves until
she feels like she’s floating
above you and you’re
pulling her back, but
she’s making discoveries as
she nears the ceiling,
taking you with her,
swimming through a long sigh,
breaking surface at last,
our lungs sucking in air.
