“The only truth is music.” Jack Kerouac
Precipice
As the world wrapped itself
too tightly for my liking,
I took refuge in a language
of emotion that swept my skin
with such feeling I entered
new realms where my heart
was painted with words of
precipice and left me faint,
inwardly I wept with joy,
transported to the
seventh heaven on waves
of ecstasy.

I think you’re channeling the British Romantics, of whom I’ve always been very fond!

A delightful comparison, thank you Liz, I’m glad it struck a chord 🙂 bliss is not always easy to find.

No, it isn’t, but I try to leave myself open for it.
