dVerse Poets – Open Link Night – Thankfulness

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
Gratia Participo
Moments inhabit our togetheredness
all that has gone before of
memory skin
familiar senses
looking deeply into soul
where a certain light shines,
a resonance, reflection,
knowing the other,
moving,
never captive to yesterday,
emerging,
ever thankful
for the new day.

Note: see how the Latin carries the purity of thankfulness as a verb form, it is something that we do.

I like the idea that each new day is emergent thankfulness.

I wonder how much this affirmative really works… I do believe in gratitude, but sometimes we need to curse the world just a little bit … 🙂

The Celts had blessing and curse rituals, perhaps it’s time?

So true. The awareness of being thankful towards life and it’s moments always brings peace and tranquility to the soul.Beautiful words.

Yes, I wonder that we could change the world if enough of us were more grateful, thank you Megha for reflecting on this.
