“Even though I accomplished nothing today the stars still came out at night.” Marty Rubin
Maybe
I was feeling rather shouldly
a consideration set against the
blank page of acedia,
that old noonday demon
of all my tomorrows
ever appearing,
never arriving,
to which I tilt my hat
with resignation.

As is the consensus, shouldly is the shining star in this poem. It’s a better adverb than bigly is an adjective.

I love words, I’m not usually fond of adverbs per se but I couldn’t resist, many thanks.
