“He was now in that state of fire that she loved. She wanted to be burnt.”  Anais Nin, ‘Delta of Venus

Undone

I drank you deeply
like a desert ravaged soul,
a desiccated husk
greedily, intoxicatingly,
lustily I gulped
as uncontained
rivulets ran over me
until I could drink no more,
and though the feelings
lingered so strongly
my body was rent
like a torn sheet,
undone.
