“God hath given you one face, and you make yourself another.” William Shakespeare (Hamlet)
Such Deceit
You brood of vipers,
as you writhe and glide
your innocence shines,
not so much in your youthfulness
sleek and supple though you are,
even beautiful you glisten,
no, it is your quiet movements
and the depth of your eyes
that so easily belie
the deadly venom you hide,
you seduced the very first two
succeeding ever since
winning every ballot
with such deceit.
