What Is Revealed?
To see it sitting on the table,
to savour and
meditate upon this mystery
which might
or might not be gift,
to interrogate myself
as to my mood
or what it is that I bring
to this moment of truth
that might determine
not what is inside it,
but rather,
in the opening,
what is revealed in me.

Yes, the giver reveals so much about who they are by what is given, tangibly and otherwise.

Brought to mind two types of ‘openings’
The rippers and the methodical careful to save everything folks.
Reminds me that of the one businessman’s story that the boss took potential hires out to lunch if they salted their food before tasting… he wouldn’t even consider hiring them…

Ah yes, never salt too soon my parents said! Thank you for taking time to reflect on this Jules.
