Juicy And Sweet – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

Delicious – Word of the Day

Juicy And Sweet

The blanket laid
we fed each other strawberries
dipped in vermouth,
juicy peaches too
and other metaphors,
there were honey cakes,
you smiled as you swirled
a spoon in the jar
drizzling honey more
and your lips glistened
they were so pleasurable
and sweet.

  3. What a beautiful image, Paul. Sounds absolutely delightful. I had to smile when I read about the strawberries dipped in vermouth. This morning I started two batches of cherry bounce which is cherries soaked in sugar and bourbon that sits until Thanksgiving soaking it all up and then you have a treat for late fall. I’ve never had strawberries dipped in vermouth. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever had vermouth. Must try it out. 🙂

  4. The honey cakes are mine. Dont give them away. Lol Michael
