Gachette

We fitted easily
like two well oiled cogs
in a fine instrument
always in sync and,
her catch-piece
has always been
the warmth
behind her smile.

Note: Gachette, French – catch-piece of a mechanism, Gache – staple of a lock – origin of the word gadget.

  2. I like the way the rhythm gives the feeling of some kind of mechanism at work.
