Will Always Colour
Amidst the 7.7
to be yellow in a sea of grey
or a light in the darkness
that point of difference
comes at the great price
of being yourself
rather than being others,
sameness blends and fades
but the real you
will always colour.

My mantra in poetry but hard to put into practice sometimes personally, to fearlessly be me. (You sure can see right through those greys, though.)

Thank you so much Laura for sharing your reflection on this, yes indeed, I have clear thoughts but they don’t always get to the page, strange that, you can think and feel it, but the page resists the clarity. I must admit, I try to work from left field, so that I don’t trap myself. I think I got to a point where I stopped worrying and ploughed on. 🙂
