Escape – Word of the Day

I Am Where I Am

That one dream
to be set free of
all that feels suffocating
about this life,
to escape the calendar
and the minutiae of
papered responsibilities,
is an artful Trojan horse
of sorts,
for I am where I am
and nowhere else,
I only ever escape to me.

    • Yes, absolutely, the human condition, I think it would be an exceptional person who could permanently rise above it, life can be, as we live it, complicated. Thank you for reflecting and sharing this Nalini.
