Possible
Now
after so long
it seemed possible
and in proximity
as we were
alone
close
my hand reached out for yours
a risk to break the impasse
of tenterhooks and butterflies,
awaiting reception
or, God forbid
a retraction, no
and as I turned
you leaned in,
and our hearts
were in our eyes.

Perhaps, but always within reach, if both want to be in the same place, again. And, you’re welcome. Love reading your work!
