Prismatic Embrace – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

Tell The Story

Thank you to the Bag Lady for the challenge.

Prismatic Embrace

The shortest walks can be the longest
when absence wounds and steals,
yet tonight
I faced my fear
and walked our walk alone,
the rain kissed softly.
just the right sort of melancholy,
and for a time I was abstracting puddles
and feeling my way,
till I noticed the light of your love,
a prismatic embrace,
reaching down to me.
