Mad For You – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

Moonstruck – Word of the Day

Mad For You

I’m off me head,
down a hole and round the bend,
quite nuts you see.
My tides are swirling,
rising and falling,
my pulse is 4.4,
I’m a tad confused,
what’s happening to me?
All in slow motion,
as if walking in jelly,
at least on the outer,
naked to the world,
who delights in discomfort,
so transparent is my heart.
And despite all the attention,
the stress and the pressure,
I’ll come back tomorrow
to sit with you again,
and, remember,
all the best people are mad.

  4. “… to sit with you again” There is magic in that moment, yet, for some, unattainable.
You’ve captured the giddiness, the yearning, the ‘madness’ of dynamics, so well.

  6. Beautiful ❤️
I think you are struck with Moon these days 🤣
The other day it was Lunacy and today Moonstruck.
    I love both words.
I agree with this – “all the best people are mad”. It is true indeed!!
