My Allergies

via Daily Prompt: Allergic

I have an allergic reaction to Penecillin, and peanuts aren’t my true friend either. But I have more serious allergies than those.

I'm allergic to:
All negative isms
Environmental destruction
The appalling treatment of refugees
Non-defensive violence
Sexual assault
Child abuse
Animal abuse
Domestic violence
Hatred
Homophobia
Racism
Religious intolerance/fundamentalism
Fascism
Elitism
Decisions without consultation
Most politicians who are party bound
Nationalism
Patriotism
Greed
Anachronism
"The Good Old Days"
And in general - stupidity (as I define it, of course).

Because I have these allergies, I’d ask you to leave these at the door when you visit. 🙂

  7. Wonderful allergies! 🙂
You are allergic to all of my crass flag-flying neighbors and relatives… as i am.
So good, too, that you are allergic to Nationalism and patriotism, as i am (as well as the other things). I wish you were our neighbor! 🙂
My mother was allergic to Penicillin and, when she was in the hospital, they insisted on giving her a derivative of Penicillin; they insisted, saying that, “The doctor said it would be OK, so stop refusing!” My mother finally took the derivative and subsequently went into a full cardiac arrest. She was temporarily dead, but they managed to pull her out (finally) and she survived. Keep this in mind.

  9. Reblogged this on Poetras Blok and commented:
The Ten Commandments just gotten a few add-ons as in sub-categories here!

I add to that my allergies to hypocrisy, workplace-bullying, abuse of power.

Considering the side effects in the small print of the packaging.

      • Uhm, Paul, nothing to thank me for, I don’t know why you are so supportive, you have been clicking on “like” on many of my bonkers ranting posts, and I cannot help but think that you do this to signal your support in the background, and I just want to say that I have always seen it.

        Thank you.

      • Yes, I guess I try to signal that, I’m not a classic empath, but I feel, I guess I feel connected to the soul of the writing community and want to support others. Thank you.

      • Thanks. But you are totally empath because you are consistent! And that had me put my chin up and ask myself why someone is so faithful while others “unfriend” or “unfollow” me again after they read your nightmare.

But I desire an audience, not a crowd. And I appreciate your audience and as I see now calmkate is connected to your blog, she made my day a few times now. Appreciate you strangers with heart.

I am still stumbling around a little.

Thank you and anyone for your support of a weird and crazy stranger blogging her story.

        Thank you so much!

      • Thank you for that, and I’m glad I can positively contribute, glad to be in the audience. Be encouraged.
