Strange that, I know the word, but I immediately went to rap, or its more common over-arching term, hip-hop. Mainly because I remember the name Notorious B.I.G. (aka Biggie Smalls, born Christopher Wallace) from the days of Rage (our national music video show every weekend) and when our two sons were engaged with the genre. The late eighties and nineties were a fascinating time in musical development, and hip-hop was in full flow.
Notorious had several hits, and charted well in the US and overseas, he is said to be one the most influential artists in the genre.
Nototrious was the epitomy of a description of notorious in human form. He was famous, well-known, and he was also famous for living on the bad side, drugs and gangs, which eventually caught up with him in 1997, when at the age of 24 he was fatally shot. If you read his life story he lived up to his stage name, he really was notorious.
never heard of him so I’ve learnt something new, thanks

I know it’s not for everyone, but I find that rap is narrative in another form, and I love story.

I certainly like the little rap I’ve heard but don’t seek it out or know much about it, so always like to learn.
